Daily Facial Care for Dry Skin

Dry skin is no fun. It looks and feels terrible when not cared for. But with regular daily facial care you can wake up  to beautiful skin.

Cleansing:
Cleansing your skin is all about removing the impurities that can land there during the day in the most gentle way possible for your skin type.  Cleanse dry skin morning and nigh with a moisturizing cleanser. Massage it in gently and rinse off.

Toning: For dry skin toners are an optional part of your skin care routine.  A specially formulated facial toner can give a nice final touch to the cleansing portion of your face wash. By removing final traces of makeup and dirt the right toner can also moisturize and in my opinion sooth overly tired skin.

Moisturizing: Dry skin needs moisture. Moisturizing is a key part of caring for your facial skin. Even if you cleanse correctly not using following up with a good moisturizer can leave cry itchy skin behind.

There are two categories of moisturizers for dry skin. Humectants which will help to keep your skin soft and supply by drawing moisture from the air and sealing moisturizers which are usually heavier and keep moisture locked behind a seal on your skin. Starting on damp skin apply a humectant or light moisturizer and let it soak in to your skin. Top off with a dab of a heavier moisturizer or even an oil such as Sweet Almond oil.

Exfoliation: Exfoliation is the thing people try to do to their skin while cleansing it. It’s best to do this after first cleansing it. Don’t exfoliate every day. That can be too much for your skin. There are many ways to exfoliate your facial skin from microfiber cleansing cloths to chemical exfoliators.

Follow up your basic skin care program with sunscreen and light makeup for a flawless look.
