We start out the new year with good intentions. Especially in the exercise, healthy, weightloss goals arena. This is one of the biggest if not the biggest goal for people to set for the new year.
To…
- Eat more healthy meals
- Lose weight
- Exercise
- Drink more water
etc…
But as a busy mom finding the time to fit in a good workout routine can be difficult.
That’s why I like Denise Austin’s workouts.
Yes I may sound like an informerical but you tend to sound that way when you have found something that works.
I have been working out with Denise for several years now and even when I think I need to pick up a 55 minutes pain and sweat inducing video but grab Denise’s instead for lack of time I consistently see results.
For my most pressed moments in Denise’s book Jumpstart: The 21 Day Plan to Lose Weight Get Fit and Increase Your Energy and Enthusiasm she lists a small set of exercise moves to do that take 10 minutes. She calls them Denise’s Daily Dose. Your minimum dose of exercise to do on a daily basis.
Now if you’ve ever read one of Denise’s books or seen a video you know she consistently says she works out no more than 30 minutes a day and take a break to do “active play” (my words) with her kids on Saturday.
So without further ado here are the 10 moves…
- Deep Breath
- Lower back stretches
- Squats
- Calf Stretches
- Lunges
- Crunches
- Lower body crunch
- Push-ups
- Back leg lifts
- Back relaxer
She (Denise) says these very effective moves will keep you from falling off of your exercise goal even on days when you think you have no time.
