Dry Winter Hand Care
Winter weather is fierce on the hands and even moreso for busy mothers. In our efforts to disinfect everything in our children’s path and scrub the day’s play evidence from tiny bodies our hands take a beating and sometimes it even hurts.
Take care of your hands this winter with these Hand Care Tips
1. Moisturize after each hand washing. Unless you need your untouched up hands for a medical procedure apply a nice layer of hand healing lotion after each scrub up. Keep a small bottle of lotion at each sink and a mini bottle in your purse or diaper bag for quick and easy application.
2. Apply a very thick moisturizer to your hands at night, rub in cuticule oil and wear cotton gloves as you sleep. This Hand Care Kitby Yves Rocher makes a good choice.
3. If you notice your cuticles peeling a lot they may be overly dry. Pay special attention to them when moisturizing your hands.
4. Give your hands a weekly warm oil treatment. Yes soak in a bit of warmed oil. Wash gently (aka – keep a little oil on and rub it in when you’re done.
5. Wear gloves when out in harsh weather. Women in the past had it right wearing gloves when out and about. They were really into beautiful hands and the ads of the time prove it.
